How we measure
A train counts as on time if it is less than 5 minutes late at its next station. Trains without live data are not counted.
The broad threshold, close to what most operators report: the share of tracked trains less than 15 minutes late.
Every minute, the state of each tracked train is recorded; the day is the average.
The comparison is with the average of the four previous same weekdays, as soon as two of them have been measured.
SNCF counts a TGV as on time when it arrives less than 5, 10 or 15 min late, depending on the journey length. SBB counts a train as on time when it is less than 3 min late. Their figures therefore do not compare directly with ours.
